Terms of Service
Version 1.0 · Effective 30 October 2026Previous versions
1. About these Terms
1.1. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Livuria, the personal life organizer at livuria.com and app.livuria.com, and any related apps and services we offer (together, the "Service").
1.2. The Service is provided by FilFar Development s. r. o., a Slovak limited liability company with its registered seat at Sibírska 7087/8, 080 01 Prešov, Slovakia, company ID (IČO) 56922639, registered in the Commercial Register of the Okresný súd Prešov, section Sro, insert No. 49820/P ("Livuria", "we", "us"). Our full company details are in the Legal Notice.
1.3. These documents also apply. The Subscription, Cancellation and Refund Policy forms part of your agreement with us; the Privacy Policy, the Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy inform you about how we handle personal data, and aren't terms you agree to:
- the Subscription, Cancellation and Refund Policy, for the free trial, paid plans, renewals, cancellation and refunds;
- the Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data;
- the Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy, for consumer health data under the laws of some US states;
- the Cookie Policy.
1.4. You accept these Terms when you create a Livuria account, and again, together with the Subscription, Cancellation and Refund Policy, when you buy a plan (section 19).
1.5. If you use the Service as a consumer, nothing in these Terms limits the rights you have under the mandatory consumer law that applies to you.
2. Who can use Livuria
2.1. You must be at least 18 years old to create a Livuria account. When you sign up, you confirm that you are ("I'm 18 or older").
2.2. An account is personal. Each person uses their own account, and you may not share your sign-in details or transfer your account.
2.3. The information you give us when you register and later must be accurate and kept up to date, in particular your email address, which we use for security messages. To change it, write to us at support@livuria.com.
2.4. Livuria is designed for personal and household use. You may also keep the occasional work-related reminder in it, such as a work appointment among your personal ones, but it isn't meant for running a business or organizing other people's work. Don't use Livuria to keep other people's personal data for your business or work, for example clients' or patients' details: our data processing terms (section 6A) cover only personal and household use.
2.5. Where Livuria is offered. Livuria is available worldwide, except in Québec, Canada, where we don't offer it at the moment: if you live in Québec, please don't create an account or buy a plan. Outside Québec, you can buy a plan wherever our reseller Paddle sells; Paddle doesn't sell to some countries and regions, mainly because of sanctions (Paddle's current list). Some rules depend on where you live: the Subscription, Cancellation and Refund Policy has a section for consumers in Germany, and the Privacy Policy has notices for particular regions; our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy adds rules for the United States.
3. Your account and its security
3.1. Keep your password confidential and unique to Livuria. You can protect your account further with two-factor authentication (an authenticator app) and passkeys, and we recommend both.
3.2. You are responsible for what happens under your account, unless it results from our breach of these Terms or from misuse you could not reasonably have prevented.
3.3. If you think someone else has accessed your account, change your password and contact us at support@livuria.com without delay. We send security alerts, for example when your account is signed in on a new device.
3.4. Some features need a verified email address. Until you verify it, parts of the Service may be limited.
4. What the Service does, and what it doesn't
4.1. Livuria helps you organize areas of your life: you create Areas (for example Health, Child, Documents, Finance or Home) and keep entries in them, with titles, notes, dates, repeat rules, reminders and photos, as well as to-dos, challenges and finance goals. Reminders are shown in the app: an entry's lead time decides how early it appears among your upcoming items. Livuria doesn't yet send these reminders by email or push notification.
4.2. Livuria is an organizer. It does not give medical, legal, financial or other professional advice, and it doesn't replace official notices, professional services or your own records. You see reminders only when you open Livuria, and they depend on the information and settings you enter. Please don't rely on Livuria alone where a missed date could cause serious harm.
4.3. We keep developing the Service, so features may change. We change it only for valid reasons: to keep it secure, lawful and working, to adapt it to technical developments, or to improve it, and never at an extra cost to you. If a change would more than minimally reduce your access to, or use of, a paid feature, we will tell you by email in advance, and you may then end your paid plan within 30 days of our email or of the change, whichever is later, with a refund of the unused part of your paid period, made by Paddle. To end your plan with this refund, write to us at support@livuria.com within that period.
5. Private Content
5.1. Private Content is an optional, account-wide setting, off by default. You can turn it on in Settings → Privacy & Data, and turn it off again there. When it is on, the content of your Areas is encrypted on your own device before it is sent to Livuria, so our servers store it only in encrypted form: Private Content is designed so that we can't read it. This covers area names, entries and notes, to-dos, challenges, finance goals, and the photos you add to entries and holidays. Your profile photo isn't covered.
5.2. Some information has to stay readable for the Service to work, for example dates and times, repeat and reminder settings, priority and completion status, the holidays you follow, and your account details. The Privacy Policy lists exactly what is encrypted and what is not.
5.3. Private Content uses a Privacy Passphrase that you choose and a Recovery Key that you keep. We cannot recover your encrypted content for you: if you lose both your passphrase and your Recovery Key, that content can't be decrypted, unless a device you chose to remember can still unlock it. Keep your Recovery Key safe.
5.4. Without Private Content, your content is stored readable on our servers. We use it only to provide the Service to you, as the Privacy Policy describes.
6. Your content
6.1. You own your content. Everything you add to Livuria (text, dates, photos and other information) stays yours.
6.2. You allow us to store, copy, process and back up your content, and to show it to you on your devices, only as needed to provide and secure the Service and to comply with the law, as section 6A describes. We don't sell your content or show it to other users.
6.3. You are responsible for your content, and for having the right to record what you record. Section 6A.10 says what this means for information about other people.
6.4. You may choose to record sensitive information, such as health information, or to show religious holidays. We ask for your explicit consent before you first add an entry to your Health area, before you first use the Vaccination or Doctor Visit suggestion for a child (as their parent or legal guardian), and before you first show a holiday of a named religion from the "Cultural & religious observances" list (its Hindu, Islamic, Jewish, Buddhist, Sikh and Orthodox Christian holidays). Public holidays (India's included), cultural festivals such as Lunar New Year or Nowruz, general days such as Valentine's Day, and ordinary entries about your children need no consent. Another adult's health information needs that adult's own agreement, and Livuria doesn't yet offer a way to ask for it, so don't record it (section 6A.11). The Privacy Policy explains how we handle this information and how to withdraw your consent.
6.5. Our administration tools show our staff your account details (for example your email address, sign-up date and two-factor status), never your Areas or entries.
6A. How we process your content for you (data processing terms)
6A.1. Our roles. For your account, sign-in and security, billing, support and our websites, we decide how and why personal data are processed, as our Privacy Policy explains. For the content you keep in Livuria (your Areas, entries, notes, photos, to-dos, challenges, finance goals and the holidays you follow, including what you record about other people), you decide what is kept, about whom and for how long, and we process it on your behalf. This section is our data processing agreement with you for that content (GDPR Art. 28).
6A.2. What, why and how long. We store, sync, display, back up and secure your content, and work out its dates and the reminders shown in the app, so that you can use your organizer for your own personal or household purposes. It can include any personal data you choose to add, about you or other people, including health information and the holidays you show. We process it while you keep it in Livuria. When you delete an entry, it can first be restored for 30 days, and its history of changes stays for the period in the Privacy Policy (section 3.3); when you delete your account, we delete all of it. Deleted content then leaves our backups within the period in the Privacy Policy (section 9).
6A.3. Only on your instructions. Your instructions are these Terms and the way you use Livuria's features, such as adding, editing, exporting and deleting. We don't use your content for our own purposes: never for advertising, profiling, analytics or AI training. We process it otherwise only where EU or Member State law requires it, and we tell you first unless that law forbids it. If we think an instruction breaks data protection law, we tell you at once.
6A.4. Confidentiality. Everyone who works for us and could access your content is bound to confidentiality, as Slovak law also requires of us. We access your content only when you ask us to, to keep the Service secure and running, or when the law requires it.
6A.5. Security. We protect your content with the measures described in the Privacy Policy (section 11) and review them regularly. We'll tell you in advance of any change that would reduce that protection.
6A.6. Our service providers. You authorise us to use the service providers named in the Privacy Policy (section 7.1) to host and back up your content, and we bind each of them to the same data protection obligations as we have under this section. We'll email you at least 30 days before we add or replace one. If you object, you can end your plan and delete your account before the change takes effect; if you ask us at support@livuria.com, Paddle then refunds the unused part of your paid period.
6A.7. Helping you. You can see, correct and delete your content in Livuria while your trial or a plan is active, and export it, or delete it with your account, at any time; otherwise write to us. If someone asks us about information you keep about them, we'll tell you and help you deal with it. If a person tells us that you keep their health information, or asks us to correct or delete what you keep about them, we ask you to remove or correct it. If you don't, you instruct us to remove what we can identify. If a personal data breach affects your content, we notify the authorities and you where the law requires it.
6A.8. At the end. You can export your content at any time. When you delete your account, we delete your content, unless the law requires us to keep something, and then only that.
6A.9. Information and audits. On request, we'll give you the information you need to check that we keep this section, such as a description of our security measures. A review or audit of how we process your content can be agreed with us; it must not give access to other users' data.
6A.10. Your part. Use Livuria for your own personal or household purposes, as section 2.4 describes. Keep information about other people only if you're entitled to, and only what you need. Don't keep another adult's health information in Livuria (section 6A.11), and keep a child's only as their parent or legal guardian. We don't read or scan what you write, so this is your responsibility.
6A.11. Another adult's health information. Your consent isn't enough to keep another adult's health information: that adult would have to agree themselves, and Livuria doesn't yet offer a way to ask them. Until it does, don't keep another adult's health information in Livuria, such as their appointments, tests or medication: not in an area for them, in your own Health area or in notes. If someone tells us that you keep their health information, section 6A.7 applies. Before we add a way to ask for their agreement, we'll change these Terms as section 13 describes; section 6.6 of the Privacy Policy says the same to the people concerned.
7. Acceptable use
7.1. You may use the Service only lawfully and as these Terms allow. In particular, you must not:
- store or process content that is illegal, or that infringes other people's rights;
- try to access other users' accounts or data, or our systems, without permission;
- probe, scan or test the Service's vulnerability, except within a responsible disclosure arrangement agreed with us in writing;
- interfere with or disrupt the Service, for example by overloading it, or by introducing malware;
- use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Service, except through features we provide for that purpose;
- copy, modify, resell or sublicense the Service, or reverse-engineer it, except where the law expressly allows it;
- use the Service to send unsolicited messages, including plan invitations to people who don't expect them (section 11.3);
- impersonate anyone or misrepresent your identity.
7.2. If you breach this section, we may take the steps in section 12.3.
8. Reporting illegal content
8.1. Content in Livuria is private to the account that stores it and is not published. If you nevertheless believe that the Service stores illegal content, you can tell us at support@livuria.com. This address is also our point of contact for authorities and for users. We answer in English and Slovak.
8.2. A notice should explain why you consider the content illegal, identify it as precisely as you can, and give your name and email address (except for certain offences, where you may stay anonymous), with a statement that you believe the notice to be accurate and complete.
8.3. We confirm that we've received a notice, handle it promptly, diligently and objectively, and tell the sender our decision and how to seek redress. If we restrict content or an account, we tell the person concerned why, and how to contest the decision.
8.4. We don't monitor or scan the content you store. We act on notices, and every decision is made by a person; content protected by Private Content is designed so that we can't read it. If we become aware of information giving rise to a suspicion of a criminal offence involving a threat to someone's life or safety, we inform the competent authorities.
9. The free trial
9.1. A new account includes one free 30-day trial, which starts when you register. You don't need a payment card for it, and it never turns into a paid plan by itself: there is no automatic charge when the trial ends.
9.2. The trial is a fixed period of 30 calendar days from registration, once per account. Buying a plan, joining someone else's plan or leaving it doesn't pause, extend or restart it.
9.3. When the trial ends and you have no plan, your account is limited until you choose one: you can't open, add or change your Areas and entries in the app. You can still sign in, export your data, manage your privacy and security settings, get help and delete your account; your content stays stored until you delete it.
10. Paid plans and payment
10.1. Livuria offers three annual plans with the same features, differing only in how many people they cover, the payer included:
- Individual: one person;
- Duo: two people;
- Family & Friends: up to five people.
10.2. Plans are billed once a year in advance and renew automatically each year until you cancel the renewal. Consumers in Germany have different renewal rules. Prices, taxes, renewal, plan changes, cancellation and refunds, including our 14-day money-back guarantee on your purchase and on each renewal, are explained in the Subscription, Cancellation and Refund Policy.
10.3. Paddle is our reseller and Merchant of Record. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle sells you the subscription, takes your payment, issues your invoices or receipts, and makes every refund; you can contact Paddle about any order. For anything about Livuria itself, including complaints and requests under our 14-day money-back guarantee, please write to us first (section 16.2): we deal with your request, and Paddle makes any refund. The Paddle company that sells to you depends on where you buy from: Paddle.com Inc. in the United States, Paddle.com (Canada) Ltd. in Canada, and Paddle.com Market Limited everywhere else. Your purchase is governed by Paddle's buyer terms, which you accept at checkout. These Terms govern your use of the Service.
10.4. Paddle's payment form is in English. Prices are shown with the applicable tax for your billing address before you pay.
11. Shared plans (Duo and Family & Friends)
11.1. The person who buys a Duo or Family & Friends plan (the "payer") can invite others by email. An invitation is valid for 14 days, can be used once, and only by a Livuria account with the invited, verified email address.
11.2. A plan shares paid access, never content. Everyone on a plan has their own Livuria account and login, and accepts these Terms for it. No one on a plan can see anyone else's Areas or entries. The payer can see the names and email addresses of the people on the plan, when they joined, and the email addresses of pending invitations; members can see the payer's name and the plan.
11.3. Invite only people who expect your invitation.
11.4. Members can leave a plan at any time, and the payer can remove members. When a member's access through the plan ends, that member keeps their account and content, and returns to their own trial if any of its 30 days remain, or needs their own plan.
11.5. If the payer deletes their account, the plan ends for everyone on it. We ask the payer to confirm this first and notify the members.
11.6. A member doesn't pay and has no purchase contract with Paddle: the payer's plan gives the member access. That access ends when the payer's plan ends, for any reason, including a refund, a cancellation or the payer's account deletion, and it is suspended while a payment for the plan is disputed. When the plan ends, we tell its members, without saying why. The member's own account and content stay theirs.
12. Ending your use of Livuria
12.1. Cancelling renewal. You can cancel your plan's renewal at any time in Settings → Plan & billing, or without signing in, as section 7 of the Subscription, Cancellation and Refund Policy explains. You keep full access until the end of the period you have paid for. Cancelling renewal is not the same as withdrawing from the contract: see section 9 of that policy.
12.2. Deleting your account. You can delete your account at any time in Settings, confirmed with your password. Deletion is immediate and permanent: your account, your content and your files are deleted, apart from a minimal record of what you accepted and consented to (section 19.3), and any plan you pay for is cancelled with Paddle straight away (if Paddle can't be reached, as soon as it can be). Payments already made are not refunded automatically, but within 14 days of your purchase or of a renewal payment you can still get a full refund under our money-back guarantee: write to us, ideally from the email address you used (section 10 of the Subscription, Cancellation and Refund Policy). Your statutory rights are not affected. Please export your data first if you want to keep a copy; section 10.3 of the Privacy Policy says what the export includes. Our backups keep deleted data for a limited time, as the Privacy Policy explains.
12.3. Suspension or termination by us. We may suspend or end your access to the Service if:
- you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms;
- we are required to do so by law or by a competent authority;
- it is necessary to protect the Service, other users or third parties from a security risk.
Where the law and the circumstances allow, we will tell you in advance, give you our reasons and a chance to fix the problem, and let you export your data. If we end your access without a legal ground attributable to you, we will refund the unused part of your prepaid period.
12.4. If we stop the Service. If we decide to stop offering the Service, we will give you at least 60 days' notice so that you can export your data, and refund the unused part of any prepaid period.
12.5. Taking your data elsewhere. You can export your data at any time, free of charge, in Settings; section 10.3 of the Privacy Policy says what the export includes. When your plan ends, your data stays available, and you can still export it, until you delete your account. We charge nothing for leaving.
13. Changes to these Terms
13.1. We may change these Terms to reflect changes in the law, in the Service, or in how we run it. We will tell you about material changes by email at least 30 days before they take effect, and remind you of your right to end the contract. Price changes follow section 5.3 of the Subscription, Cancellation and Refund Policy, not this section.
13.2. If you don't agree with a change, you can end the contract free of charge before it takes effect, by deleting your account. If you pay for a plan and the change is materially to your disadvantage, you can also end your plan, with a refund of the unused part of your paid period, made by Paddle. To end your plan with this refund, write to us at support@livuria.com before the change takes effect.
13.3. Each version of these Terms shows its effective date, and earlier versions stay available in our version archive.
14. Intellectual property
14.1. The Service, including its software, design, text and the Livuria name and logo, belongs to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service under these Terms.
14.2. Parts of the Service use open-source software under their own licences.
14.3. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them to improve the Service without any obligation to you. We won't publish your feedback in a way that identifies you without your permission.
15. Our responsibility
15.1. We provide the Service with reasonable care and skill. If you are a consumer, you have the legal guarantees for digital services under the law that applies to you, and nothing in these Terms limits them.
15.2. To the extent the law permits, we are not liable for losses that result from your breach of these Terms, or from events beyond our reasonable control. If you are a consumer, this doesn't limit our liability under the law that applies to you.
15.3. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where the law doesn't allow it, in particular for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, or for injury to life or health.
15.4. We take regular backups and test that they can be restored. We still recommend that you export your data from time to time.
16. Availability and support
16.1. We aim to keep the Service available at all times, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may need to interrupt it for maintenance, updates or security, and we try to do so at quiet times.
16.2. For help, write to support@livuria.com. You can also write to us in the app, under Help & Feedback → Contact support. We answer in English and Slovak. Questions about a payment or an invoice can also go to Paddle (section 10.3).
17. Governing law and disputes
17.1. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you live.
17.2. If you are a consumer, you can bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live or in Slovakia, and we can bring proceedings against you only in the courts of the country where you live.
17.3. If you have a complaint, please write to us at support@livuria.com. We confirm it in writing without delay, tell you by when we will deal with it, and answer within 30 days of your complaint. If it concerns a defect in the Service, we put it right free of charge within a reasonable time, and at the latest within those 30 days. If we can't, you have the remedies the law gives you as a consumer, for example a price reduction, or ending your paid plan with a refund for the rest of the period you've paid for, made by Paddle. If we reject your complaint, we tell you why in writing. If you are a consumer and we reject your complaint, or don't reply within 30 days of your sending it, you can also turn to an alternative dispute resolution body: the Legal Notice names the competent body and explains how.
18. Language
18.1. These Terms are available in English and Slovak. When you sign up, you choose the language of your contract, and that version applies to you. We record your choice. If you choose English, you agree to receive these Terms, and the information about them, in English; the Slovak version stays available to you.
19. How the contract is concluded
19.1. To create an account, you fill in the registration form, can review and correct your entries before you submit it, and confirm that you're at least 18 and accept these Terms. Your contract with us for the Service is concluded when your account is created.
19.2. To buy a plan, you choose it in Livuria. Next to Subscribe, Livuria tells you that the plan renews every year at its price until you cancel, and links these Terms and the Subscription, Cancellation and Refund Policy, which you accept by subscribing. You then complete the purchase in Paddle's checkout, where you can review and correct your details and see the total before you pay. Paddle confirms your purchase by email.
19.3. We record which version of these Terms you accepted, and when, and for a purchase also the version of the Subscription, Cancellation and Refund Policy. We keep these records while your account exists and for 3 years after it ends or your plan ends, whichever is later, with only the minimum data (Privacy Policy, section 9). Every version stays available in our version archive.
19.4. The language of the contract. You can conclude the contract in English or Slovak: you choose when you sign up (section 18.1), and we record your choice. The information in sections 19.1 to 19.4 is also shown in Slovak at sign-up, whichever language you choose. Paddle's checkout is in English (section 10.4).
20. General
20.1. These Terms, with the Subscription, Cancellation and Refund Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.
20.2. If a provision of these Terms is invalid, the rest remains in force.
20.3. If we don't enforce a right immediately, we don't give it up.
20.4. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to another company that takes over the Service, with notice to you; this won't reduce your rights. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms.
